Question about 190 tranny?

I'm looking at a used 190 tranny with what appears to be usable gears from pictures. There appears to be some slight damage around the idler gear bearing bore. There is a new bearing installed and is tight. I need one of these for a 1071 S project. The owner and friend and I both are interested in what is a current fair price for this tranny. He may come along and offer to post pictures if that would help. Thanks for any light you can shed on this. Regards Steve (CTR)

The question is what is the current fair market value for a 22G190 gearbox with decent internals?

I reckon a decent complete 190 will fetch about £800 ?

only recently i was offered a completely refurbed 190, bearings/laygear/seals etc 2000pounds! i would have thought that one in reasonable condition would fetch 1000/1200 pounds.

Thanks for the replies, you guys kill me. I very much enjoy this board and try to figure out things that have nothing to do with cars. I have learned all about tea. I now wonder what it is about womans underwear in avatars with the guys here?
My 190 tranny was stolen while my car was in storage. I'm not sure I'll ever be able to replace it at those numbers. Just to be clear are those prices you have paid or sold at or just numbers you have heard about? Either way thanks again. Steve (CTR)

Morning,
In the last few months I sold two of my 190 boxes for £650 each when I needed to raise some funds and realised my collection of gearboxes I would never use was getting out of hand!
Both were in good second hand condition with no obvious cracks or damage to the casings or gears.
Hope this helps,
Damian

That is more the info I was looking for. Value should be based on what someone will or has recently paid. I can't help but wonder if someone has a broken no longer suitable for use 190 case. If you have one contact me and I'll let you know what I have in mind. Thanks Steve (CTR)

The Ennion Workshop sold one on eBay earlier this week, although a completely empty with no gears for a reasonable £127.

Silly person I AM PAID £1200 many moons ago plus shipping from Portugal.
Yes a nice case with a decent s/c gear set.
Years ago I never thought I would find one so I took the plunge.
Over the years I have seen them go for £100 to £2000+ and some were scrap in my mind.
My advise would be if don't need it yesterday just keep your search going and you'll do fine.
