Identity??

Please help, is it possible to find out if a registration is still 'live'?

I have found a very old looking reg document with the reg GYH295C on it. Is there any way of checking if this has been withdrawn from circulation or other?

There is a Vin Plate with it that has the numbers 2063 no final letter, but I think this looks a bit short for a 'C' reg?

Thanks

It's not on the DVLA data base, though that's no proof that the car isn't still around. Your reg number looked familiar , it is pretty close to the Radford Morris Cooper S demonstrator which was GYH 251C.

Yes the reg is quite close. The log book claims to be for a 970cc, so would be nice to find some history on.

The BMC manual suggests that the vin number is too early for a foam filled sill, so there must have been more than one car.

Is there a list anywhere accessible that show which body numbers were built in which years i.e. 1961 777XXX to 999XXX etc? Or is the only way to find this to contact the DVLA?

Glass's Car Check guides give the first chassis number of each year of production for each model.

2063 isn't a UK Cooper S chassis number or body number.

Contacting the DVLA isn't likely to be any help in this instance.

Thanks, I've also found this Www.retrominisltd.co.uk that seems quite useful.
