I believe Chassis 110 now wears a Feburary 1960 shell. Nice car though.

Nearly bought it from the States about twelve Months ago for a lot less money,

I nearly bought it from the States 5 years ago before it was turned into a race car. As you say, wrong shell and wrong everything else, except the vin plate of course. The current owner is aware of this despite his wording in the ad. Pity he just can't put an honest description to sell it. It looks quite good for what it is but it is just not an early 1959 built car.

FE number dates shell to Feb.60.

Spec. in 2008 when I was interested in it was MK2 interior, 1300GT engine with S' brakes

However you look at it.... It's pretty amazing some 99 cars need wings inner, outer sills, bla bla blah... These were made with passion to last.. Long may it live....

So Trev apart from '60 shell, GT engine, Mk2 trim and S brakes it was pretty original right ? :lol:
