Branda Hatch Mini Festival(s) 2014

Looks like we dodged a bullet with Blyton because from what I'm hearing the Brands Mini Fest date has been moved to May 10/11th 2014 ! (very sadly for the British Mini Club this is the same day as Himley). There's also going to be a second Mini Racing Festival at Oulton Park on July 12th !! I'm hoping to get to Brands as I'm sure many on here will but also definitely up for a gathering at Oulton in July

"The Mini 7 and Miglia championship will be feature races at the hugely popular Mini Festival at Brands Hatch (Rds 3 & 4) on 10/11th May 2014, moved earlier in the year in 2014 to accommodate a second festival in the North of England. The series for will visit Oulton Park, to be feature races at the inaugural Northern based Mini Racing Festival (rounds 9 & 10) on 12th July 2014."

Not historic but quite fun and up north, the 24 hour race for Minis and 2Cv's now back on at Anglesey:

"I can now confirm the basic arrangements for the 24 hour Race in 2014. The venue is now confirmed as Anglesey using the coastal circuit including the corkscrew which will no doubt be a challenge! The event will take place on the 30th and 31st of August 2014 although we will confirm the actual start time later. The 2 CV racing club is hiring the whole circuit from Thursday lunchtime until Monday lunchtime and on Friday there will be completely open practice for all competitors. We hope that will be a real value-added so that drivers can spend quite a bit of time familiarising themselves with the track if they so wish or you can do lots of short sessions for the purposes of setting up or testing. Qualifying will be on Friday with night qualifying Friday evening. We are holding the event jointly with 2 CV GB who are our sister preservation club and we hope that they will be able to provide a fantastic beer tent together with a barn dance and disco after the event. Anglesey is a great venue for a short holiday and we will be able to use the local beaches (which I think may belong to the track owners), there is also the possibility of combining with the Anglesey food and drink fair!. So all in all a great motor race and a fantastic social event as well. Naturally we hope you will be able to participate in this fully and we will endeavour to make all facilities available for your supporters spectators and families.

We are still in the process of making final arrangements and pricing the event but we anticipate that it will be in the region of £1900-£2200 per car provided booking takes place fairly early probably before the end of April. We can offer up to 12 slots for minis at this stage but obviously an indication from you as to how many might like to participate would be appreciated. "
