Was this an original fitment on the coil from factory on early minis?

OK, thanx for that. I've seen gold stickers too (the one I posted is silver).....what colour should it be on a 64 Cooper S?

This is only a theory but could the gold one on the car be a LA 12 coil as it looks like a Standard mini, and the silver one be a HA 12 for the cooper S. Would be a easy way to identify the two. As I say only a thought , cheers Tim

As far as I am aware all Minis regardless of the variant were fitted with the LA12 coil. No Mini models were fitted (as standard) with the HA12.

At least Cooper S's left the factory with HA12 coils.

I'm sure you are correct, cos that's what I thought too, but there is only 1 coil listed for all Cooper & S models in the parts list.
