Arch trim from Phoenix Supplies and another question !

Hi,
My Dad is at last getting round to finishing off his Mk2 saloon and has asked a couple of questions which hopefully can be answered on here
First off - deluxe chrome arch trim...has anyone used the stuff sold by Phoenix Trim supplies and if so is it any good?. Any other advice on a good source of this trim.
Secondly, can anyone give me a measurement of where the fresh air hose support bracket screws to the inner wing please?
Many thanks in advance
Andrew

Hi Iain,
Thanks for the picture. Didn't realise there was a second clip on the gusset plate.
If you could give me a rough measurement of the front clip position, that would be great

Andrew, the screw for fixing the clip is 6" down from the wing edge and 6" in from the front panel.

Sorry reply is a bit late Andrew , not been able to get internet for a while.
I have tried , Minispares , Rover , Hadrian and Phoenix Supplies for arch trim .
I have tried fitting it in a hot paint shop oven , running it through extremely hot water and used a warm air gun to try and fit it .
I have bought a few sets that actually go on nicely over the last 10 years for my mk1 and every time I bought it from.........
Phoenix Supplies .
I just offer it up and push it on , no hassle , no fighting with it and no buggering around with heat or boiling water .
Give Kaye at Phoenix a call , I ask her if she is still using the same supplier as previous years and providing the supplier is selling the same stuff to her you should have no issue.

Thanks David, your post is much appreciated.
There's still time as Dad hasn't done anything about it at the moment. Sounds like Phoenix it is.
We've had other stuff from Kaye before and have been impressed with the quality.

Hi Andrew
I spent some time making an accurate template from the original inner wing of my mkII to transfer all the holes and details over to the new.
I don't know what they are all for yet but you might find this picture useful.
If you tell me what I'm looking for I could get some cross measurements for you, possibly at the weekend.

I totally agree. Phoenix is the best that I have used. Try and fit it in on a warm day. I think that helps.
