wheel studs

please can anyone advise, what is a good coarse thread stud upgrade that uses nuts with the correct angle on the taper, is anything easily available ? thankyou

Swiftune do some really nice replacement studs. Not cheap, but they are the dogs.

ive never seen mini studs available with anything but the normal 3/8th unf thread
I suppose you could look at using later rover metro 100 as they used a coarser metric thread

I've been thinking several times about redrilling the hubs, fitting 12mm bolts. It would be great as the 3/8UNF ones are a bit weak. I now use a torque wrench EVERY time when fitting nuts, never a problem anymore.

Quicker on/off - just treat yourself to a decent cordless impact driver

Be adviced that's Swiftys studs are only suitable for open-end nuts as used with Rosepetals or as the stock nut from waay back...

I'd say that depends hugely on which wheels you are using. Genuine Minilites are no problem as the face of the wheel is very thick, but you've got a point.
