Something like this might be better...
This is a taper thread, so with a little PTFE tape will be self sealing when tightened up.
It also has a spanner hex, so will be easier to fit.

Good ol' fashion plain brass ones are also available:
What I did was get a plain brass 3/8" BSPT one, a 15mm copper elbow and a short length of
copper tube. I sawed off the brass fitting and soldered the elbow and short pipe to it. Next,
I filed/sanded off all the surplus solder then finally I got it plated to make it look nice.
NB: 3/8" BSP is about the same diameter as 5/8" UNF. ( and 19TPI vs. 18TPI )
NB2: 5/8" UNF is the same thread as the temp sender hole in the cylinder head.
NB3: 3/8" NPT could also be used if you want to use American Pipe Threads.
I use 14mm ID hose - this is a push fit and does not need a clip. The other end goes to
a Tesco hand soap bottle over by the wiper motor. The pipe enters the bottle via a 90 degree
plastic 15mm elbow which just pushes straight into the 14mm pipe, again, without a clip.
I fitted this before the fancy oil cap, but it is still possible to unscrew it by punching the
hinge-pin out of the oil cap lid and taking it off.
So far as "oil splash" is concerned, very little of anything comes out of this - far more
water/oil/gunge is collected from a similar catch-tank connected to the transmission case.
