They are indeed Mk1 Austin 1100. These were plentiful in the scrapyards at one time any many donated their engines, gearboxes and front seats to Minis. The seats could be easily fitted with a little fabrication of brackets and were a lot more comfortable and robust than the Mini items.

I have put these on eBay to see what they go for as i have managed to get a complete red interior for mine now.
Also the engine i was told has been replaced with one from an 1100
