1962 Austin mini- advice please!

Hi guys I am after a bit of advice. A year ago I bought a mini which I believe to be a 62 Austin super deluxe. It is in quite a bad way as its not seen the road in about 30 years, however it's all there and he engine isn't seized up.
I had planned to restore her back to her former glory, but I am now becoming a poor student. So my choices are to try find somewhere to hide it away for at least 3 years, or to sell her to someone with the time and money to fix her?
However I don't know what it's worth? Or the best place to do it?
Is it worth holding on too or should I give it up and look for another one day?
(I will add a picture soon as I work out how)

Picture links sorted for you.
I would hang on to it if you can because it is getting harder and harder and more and more expensive to find an early Mk1 in any condition.

Great project in a great colour too.
If it was mine, I'd store it up and get back to it in a few years time.

I agree with Andrew above.
That looks too good to loose.

Keep it!
If you sell it and decide to buy another one later it will be so much more expensive and more difficult to find.
A number of years ago I looked at buying a Cooper S but put it off, when I finally got round to buying one I had to spend the same money on an 850 that would have bought the S previously!

Ok so due to being a poor student it looks like I'm going to have to sell it!
Any advice on the place place to do so? On here? eBay? Etc?
Cheers Edd

Edd,
Firstly I have to say, what a beautiful example of a mini!
Secondly, I can totally empathise with your situation... If you read my topic here: (
viewtopic.php?f=7&t=7532), you can understand how I recently was unfortunately left feeling with no option but to part with my mk1 - due to financial struggle amongst other reasons.
I wouldn't be the first here to say that I would hang on to that mini, whatever it takes, as I was told: 'You'll regret it in the long run' etc. And well, what can I say, everybody else was more than correct. Infact, my circumstances changed, and I went and stupidly (or not so stupidly)
purchased another project car quite soon after the sale of my Island Blue SDL as the heartache was too much to bare! (REALLY!) And now i'm back at square one...!
I, for one, can say now that I would rather be struggling, trying to afford to home my mini monthly and know that I have a gorgeous project car - than be better off and without... It depends what this particular mini means to you, or I guess what mini's really mean to you as a whole. I don't know your current circumstances, but I wish you the best of luck with whatever decision you decide to make!
What I can say is, I learnt a very valuable lesson. And unfortunately the hard way...
Finally, to answer your question, take some honest photographs of the car and write as much as you can about it's history or what you have come to know about it. (We love that here!) And offer it here first, there is an abundance of brilliant, helpful and willing individuals that may well be interested in your mini. I can personally guarantee that if you find a sale here on the mk1-forum, it will be loved, in a good home and at a fair price.
GOOD LUCK!

Thank you very much for your advice! I love minis as a whole,
And really do wish I could keep it, but I think financially I don't have
Any other choice. I do want it to go to someone who wants to restore it to its
Former glory, not jazz it up or make it look like something it's not!
I wish I could do this my self but won't be in a situation that I can for
Years. I now also have a time limit on how long I have a garage
To keep it in.
I will get some more photos and get them on here! Thank you again for taking
The time to reply
