No it's not Goodwood Revival, it's the real thing.Featuring some big names and mainly Willment Fords but some lovely footage from Silverstone 1963 and some Minis in shot ...

Great find Pete.

Here's a link to the results of the race, note Paddy Hopkirk in car 18, who is seen on the film, at 9:11, with massive understeer.

An important race in that it was the first time a Cooper S appeared in a BSCC race, well any saloon race I would think ! You can make Christabel's car out well up on the grid, there's some well known shots of her car humping a Sunbeam Rapier after a mid race incident. As you can see from the results Whitmore spanked all those Cortina GTs in a CCC 1071. I've a load of shots from this race, there's one of a works rally car 997 in the paddock that Abingdon brought down for Christabel. The CCC S's were converted 997's also.

So who else can be identified in the film (other than drivers)? Alan Mann (then "Alan Andrews Racing"). John Coombs. Lofty England?

I wonder if the red 1100 in the background was Harry Ratcliffe's. no door numbers on it but then they were painted on in situ anyway. His first Cooper S had just come off the production line when this was filmed, now owned by a board member .Spotted Burns-Grieg's white Downton/Sportstune Mini in the paddock also.
