two new arrivals

Post by gpmini »

The beaded one didn't really work (take 2 coming soon :D ) The Moke, on the other hand, arriving by train from Cape Town was in remarkably good condition for a 50 year old lady

The Moke is a 1962 Prototype, one of 6 hand built from locally pressed panels at the Blackheath plant near Cape Town. Early pics of the South african prototypes below. If anyone has any further info of these post, or email me at gpmini(at)gmail.com

Below is a pic of my other prototype, and pics of similar prototypes in the UK from around '61 - '62. These are different to the even earlier UK Moke prototypes from 1959. Not exactly Mk1 or performance, so hope I haven't offended anyone posting here.

All B&W pics were either downloaded from other websites or obtained from trusted enthusiasts. Happy to remove as these as they are not mine.

Great stuff gpmini, that's the best collection of Military Moke pictures I've ever seen. Any chance that you could post them in the prototype Mokes section on the Moke forum?
