hi, was wondering if any of you guys know anything about this grille?
it was given to me by a young lad who was clearing out his grandads shed, who used to work at longbridge.
any information would be helpful, what model/year it was fitted or anything.
many thanks, ryan

I know I've seen a car with a grille the same in it before from the BMC stable but for the life of me I can't think of it. Very likely to be what they used for the beach car alright.

Different shape to the beach car grille, the sides on this one aren't curved enough.

There was a 1-Litre Allegro from 1981-82 as part of the model & engine rationalisation scheme following the introduction of the Metro. It was a little known variant & not a great success. No offence captain, I only know this because I fitted the engine from one into a Mini & a check on the engine number revealed all.

That was my first thought, but I think it would have more than a 1000cc engine.
