WOOD & PICKET RESTORATION

A bit of delay starting this car it is the ex Cilla Black car, I have had the car about two years now but have done nothing with it so today I took all the interior out found a few gremlins already but not to bad. Jens you might be able to tell me if these numbers are correct the door cards the centre consul and the rear seats have the numbers 7144 the front seats are dated 25/3/77 hope you can tell me if this is correct cheers Brian

John who is inhere, has a 1977 W&P with no 7119

As I don't know much about these wood&picket cars, all the bezels are painted black should they be chrome. Also the car is a 1977 mini 1000 auto what colour should the engine be, may be jens is the man for this or if anybody knows cheers Brian.

id say by 1977 the engine would be (somewhat appropriately
) black

Hi Brian,
Yes the Margrave Elite dash was available with either chrome, or matt Black bezel,s on the gauges.
Chrome are rare, only seen a few Margrave Elite dash boards with this.
I can fully understand this, after a trip on a sunny day, with the sunroof open
The word "bliiing" springs to mind
my car had the chrome bezel,s, becourse it wasnt fitted with a sunroof from W&P.
Good thing I had my sunglasses on.
Yes the engine is Black.

Its getting very black this car the colour of the car is black it even has black windows, at least the wheels are silver
