Hello all

I have just acquired another (!) mini -this time a 1961 Austin Seven cabriolet conversion - done sometime in the early 60's in the UK (I think on the South coast somewhere)
I am trying to find any leads regarding the history of this vehicle.

Anybody in the group heard of/seen this car? It left the UK in 1987 to new owners in Seattle and now is with me, near Detroit.
There is rumored to be a tie-in with either John Cooper or his son, Mike, but that needs to be verified

Any links, ideas, advice would be appreciated!!

thanks

Paul

Hi Paul I think I done some work on this car back in the late 70,s I had a garage in Brighton which is on the south coast which is only about twelve miles from the john cooper garage in Ferring Sussex if I find anything about the car I will let you know cheers Brian.

Brian

you did? Any info you need from me to confirm?
I know it had some body work done in Worthing - I think door skins and some welding - I think at Motor Bodyworks (or something like that)

This would be a great 1st step into the history

cheers

Paul
