Myself and 3 friends are driving the 1500kms to Goodwood and back from Dublin in my Mk1 and a 1979 Clubman.

Camping from Thursday to Monday - who else is going? Would be great to say hello!

Are you bringing a Mini?

Haven't been there since 2009 so really looking forward to it!

Jonathan on the left owns the Clubman (his mother's from new!), John doesn't own a Mini but has a BMW e21 and Aidan on the end is just coming along for the fun!

We're trying to raise a little money for charity too - info and more pics here:

I'm not going this year but must say it is the best motoring "day out" you'll ever experience in my humble opinion ;)

The Numpties have now unfortunately disbanded Ian...we put it down to creative differences!

Hoping to drop by the Templeogue show but family commitments are trying to spoil things. :(

I'll be there Friday, Saturday and Sunday. I usually take the train for Friday and Saturday + a classic on Sunday when my wife and son come along. The train is great as there's a fleet of period bus's to take you between Chichester station and the circuit (does a special route through the grounds, so you miss out the traffic + see the house too). It's particularly handy in that you can enjoy a refreshing pint or 2 throughout the day as well! :D

Probably take my 80' landrover this time... Hope to see you guys there.

I'll expect to see that in the pre 73 car park with the other 'newer' cars that seem to end up in there :P

Ha! cheeky!

if anyones interested (I'm out on a limb here!) it's a 1953 series 1 80 inch. Chassis up together, engine and box where excellent anyway, just done the loom, it's rolling and running but panels in etch so a little way to go...

That just showed up my lack of Landy knowledge, I thought you were refering to it as being made in the 1980's not how long the chassis is

my brother has a series 2 with a v8 in it

it doesn't handle, doesn't go very fast, drinks petrol like its in a race, but sounds fantastic

its the landrover equivalent of my favourite sort of mini....

it had a rainbow painted down both sides on the 1970's and looks hilarious
