hello all,

as explained, for various reasons my beloved old user i.d 'guru_1071' has been retired and will never be active on this forum again.

I an now rich@minispares.com

I still have the same cars, enthusiasm for minis, ect, but now I will be firmly wearing my 'minispares' hat when I post.

please feel free to contact me via this site using the p.m system, or better (for me, as its archived) my work email address, which is the same as my user i.d rich@minispares.com

this change simply offers me, and my employees both traceability and protection against anything I post on this forum as an employee of Minispares.

should any individual believe I am 'out of order' in anything I post please feel free to either pm me, email me, or at worse case email my employers with a link to anything in particular that they believe is an issue.

I'm very positive about this name change, I've now been offered some form of protection against problems (either real or imaginary), as Im now not posting as a private individual, but as an employee of one of the largest mini spares providers in the world - hopefully this will allow me to help a lot more people of this forum and be able to be respected a little more by people who previously thought I was just a faceless individual.

so, as its a common complaint of forums that people 'hide' behind user names, I now consider myself to be fully out in the open.

Oh and welcome back Mark. Only recently have I heard some detail on the grief you and others have endured.

I think it's great having a representative of a major supplier who is "outloud and proud" on a forum. When Keith Calver was a regular on the MiniMania forum years ago, it immediately transformed the tone of the board.

On my MGB forum, we have the Quality Manager from Moss-USA as a regular, and his input is invaluable. His presence also creates a level of loyalty to the supplier that I don't believe they could possibly quantify.
