Elvington track day

Taking 8 port for a last blast before re shell on Saturday 24th August at elvington air museum has anyone had any experience driving this coned off circuit at 129 pounds open pit lane it seems like good value

That does sound inviting, must look into that, some history to that place. Talking of history there's another opportunity to drive around Aintree coming up on October 5th for similar money (if not less), expect quite a few Minis at that one.

I've done elvington in the past with javelin on open pit days, its good fun, loads of runoff, the cones are small so no damage if things do go pear shaped.. as with any track day its hard on your car and will find any weak points, from memory it was quite abrasive and depending on how soft and sticky your tyres are you may have to keep a close eye on them.

Thanks will be using yokohamas as my r7s are shot might get a day out of the fronts next worry getting through decibel check No pass. No run no refunds

what induction and exhaust setup is on the 8 port?

It's got janspeed stainless steel full exh system and Lucas type 45mm throttle bodies last decibel check at croft was 95 elvington is 98 max at croft arriving at sunny on full throttle marshalls advised to decelerate as it reached 115 decibels could be a short day and a early look around the air museum

stainless systems are always noisy, I'm liking good old maniflow systems at the moment :)
by the sounds :lol: of it your gonna struggle, what about one of those slip on decibel reducers for the day?

Yes good idea no point in turning up then watching from sidelines to be fair majority of noise comes from the intake side.
