Hi all , looking for some advice, had to replace my cooper doors and the ones that i am using, don't have holes for the clips to fit for the upper surround, what type of clips are available so i can drill the correct size or is it better to fit the surround chrome with metal to metal sealer? the surround i have is from Minispares.
thanks for your help cheers,
Raycpr

Mark suggested that I use some fixings made from two washers and a pop rivet as the lower mounts and some of the correct press fittings as the top mounts, this worked very well.
I made 1,2,8,9, and 10 washers and the rest clips.

Repro rivets for the upper moulding are available from minispares

I don't I'm afraid, but it's not critical, you just need to make a tophat shape with a washer that fits inside the chrome strip and a couple of smaller ones beneath it.

Unless something has changed in the last few years, the minispares domes only fit the minispares trim which has smaller gap in the back
Mini Machine domes fit factory trim.
I would only fit the washer type clips at the bottom front and the 3 up the vertical section at the rear (1,8,9 and 10)
2 in the front and 3 at the back would be a stretch imo.

I put 1 at the front and 2 at the back. More than enough, the trim wil not go anywhere.
