Let's play 'Name those parts'!!

Over the years, I've accumulated a tremendous number of parts that I associate with my Minis. Some of them came with the cars, some were given to me, and some were purchased. As I get closer to gettin my '61 on the road, I'm finding a fair number of parts that don't seem to have a home. As I run across these parts, I plan to update this thread with them.... Feel free to join in with your own parts!
Today's game centers around three parts, one used, and two new.
-The used part is a stepped piece that has a through-hole of a constant diameter. It appears as if it functions as a fixed orifice, perhaps for stepping down an oil passage. Come to think of it, it appears about the right diameter to press I to the main oil galleys in the block (5/16"). Any ideas?
-The new parts are pieces that I appear to have purchased at some point, and they appear to go together. They consist of a brass plunger about 3/16" in diameter, along with a small spring that fits neatlyinside it. Any thoughts?

I do enjoy these games, it gets the grey matter working in areas it hasn't for some time!
First one is the Reverse Detent from a Remote Shift Box, but I'm not sure if that's the one for a reverse light switch or not, I'm sure someone else will know.
The Brass piece looks to be an Oil Gallery Plug, possibly from the cylinder head or the OP Relief Valve.
The Spring looks to be from a Synchro Hub, but I can't tell if it's for a 3 or 4 synchro unit.

Agree with Spider about the first one, the spring and brass plunger looks like the control shaft damper from the remote housing, items 70 +71 in this picture.

Ok, those sound like solid guesses.....I was way off base.
I can't say I've ever seen the first part before, so the remote shifter piece could be correct. Just moments after I posted this, I was inspecting one of my heads, and I saw a galley plug that looks very much like the part in my picture, so I think you could be dead-on with that one.
The little spring is the one that has me a bit baffled. It has the look of something I bought, but I've never bought any internal transmission parts. Any additional guesses on that one?

I'd go with 1071bob on the brass plunger. It's the remote change shaft damper and associated spring.
I bought these new recently and, as appears to be the case on yours, mine also had a little machining pip left on the end that I had to file off.

The brass plunger and the spring look like the items that go in the rear of an 850 gear change (diff cover) and put tension on the gear lever.
