Interesting 8 port head

I dunno if any of you guys has stumbled onto this head before? Any thoughts? Looks very interesting!

Yes, i've seen these before. Very exciting, i believe the eighth port is a shared port though?

Great that it was produced with the 998cc block in mind also!

its a great example of what you can do with a cnc machine if you know how to use it, isn't it

There are some great videos on youtube showing blocks being machined from a solid lump of ally on a CNC, absolutely amazing and facinating to watch.

It is a beautiful piece of work, but has (in my opinion) been compromised by the siamesed exhaust port, this makes in in my book a 7 port head, not a true 8 port.

Still, if I had designed it I would be very proud indeed.

isn't this the compromise of any 7 port that's trying to use a std five port cam?

the positions of the exhaust ports cannot be moved due to pesky things like head studs and push rod holes. :lol:

it does make you think that with all the skill and thought that's gone into this exercise it would have been so much better of he had started with a proper 8 port cam, its not as if he is offering a second saving by the use of a std five port exhaust manifold
