Gratuitous scenery

Had the afternoon off, and since the weather was so nice for a change I went for a darn good thrash in the hills near here.
Had to test out my new Downton key ring.
2nd gear up the hill swinging between 5 and 7000rpm.... Bliss!
The road was actually sealed, that's just the car park.

Nice view of Diamond Harbour, near the summit track ? Lived in Cashmere for about a year. Used to love Lyttleton but it took a fair hit by the look of it in the 'quakes
Brilliant shot James.

Correct!
That's Lyttelton on the left and Charteris bay/ Diamond Harbour to the right. Photo taken on the road from Gebbies Pass - Dyers Pass.
Lyttelton has been quite badly hit as you say, hardly any heritage buildings left now, which was a big part of it's charm sadly.

Yes, they have been open a while, I used to also frequent The Loons, we held a showing of "Goodbye Pork Pie" in there and managed to get my mini in there, and one other.
I remember the Wunderbar used to have a "Nazis vs concentration camp prisioners" foosball table until they got in trouble for it....

I reckon it was good for an extra 3hp above 6000.
