Interior panel question

Ugh! I'm having trouble with the interior panels that go between the top of the rear seat up to the headliner, between the rear window and the rear side windows. Parts book calls them "Liner - rear quarter and back-light". I got the new ones from Newtown Commercial for my 1960 Morris Mini Minor. The car did not come with the old ones. I'd swear these new ones can not possibly fit! One problem immediately clear is that the original panels have a notch cut out of the bottom (factory parts book drawing) to clear a welded seam of metal that makes up the back of the seat area. OK, a hassle, but I can cut a notch. But the next problem seems a stop point. The curvature of the shape of the panel does not match the curves of the rear side window or rear window. I made a copy of the Newtown panel out of cardboard that I could use to test fit/cut/bend/etc. No matter how I position it, it doesn't align in other areas. So, a question:
1. Are the mark 1 liners and the mark 2 liners different shapes? From the parts book diagrams, it seems that the mark 2 cars don't have the notch at the bottom, just like the Newtown panels. But what I need to know is if they are shaped differently overall.
Photos of both? Pleeeeeessssseeee?!
- Thanks.
