Hello
I restored my mk1 few months ago
viewtopic.php?f=6&t=6534
I have a doubt
Does Standard baby 850 used to have the dash rail chrome triming?
My car never had the vynil on the lower dash because it's a standard model.
But I'm unsure for te chrome triming.

Painted lower dash rails didn't have chrome trim along them. I've had 2 basic Mk1 850's & neither of them had it.

I thought this was only on the super deluxe when they are covered?

Yes I'm agree with you
But I saw 2 or 3 restoration with painted lower dash and chrome triming,
It should be an error!!
The 850 is now complete!!
Thanks guys
cheers!

A lot of our cars in NZ had painted dash and chrome (alloy) trim on the lower dash.
Not sure about the UK, but wouldn't surprise me if the same were true there.

I believe the following to be correct for UK cars: The Super and Cooper were not the first to have the stainless finishing-strip along the lower dash-rail. The deluxe models were fitted with the finishing strip, together with a stainless finisher around the switch panel. The basic 850 saloon, van and pick up did not have either.
