Interior Rubber Mat Recomendations

Post by NotNormal »

Hello chaps, been looking around for some decent rubber floor mats for the Mk1 and not totally convinced on anything at present.

Does anyone have and recommendations on where to buy some good fitting/decent looking rubber foot mats for a Mk1 Mini?

Many thanks in advance :)

There are some links here about reproductions of the BMC rubber mat in Japan and Australia, not cheap but an option anyway.

Cheers, yes I did find them via search function on the forum but bit pricey tbh

All I want to do is protect the carpet underneath for general driving etc. Would rather not have overmats that are so period correct and expensive that I end up worrying about protecting them as well. :?

Found some online that look ok and should do the job but before I click 'ok' just wondered if anyone else has any thoughts.

I struggled to find anything for mine and settled for plain carpet fitted ones from minispares for the same reason as you. They're there for a reason, ie to protect the carpet so I don't want them to cost more than the carpet!

:D

The 1100 ones do come up from time to time on ebay & look excellent, original Mini ones are INCREDIBLY EXPENSIVE, one cut from carpet that matches your floor carpet is sensible.

I did hear a whisper some time ago that one of the major manufacturers was thinking about doing repro cannon mats, but have not heard anything else on this project.
