Dynamo problem

Some months ago, my car ('60s mini) just left me without any battery whatsoever in the middle of an avenue. Someone passed me some power just enough to make it to my home. I had the dynamo checked and the coil was in pretty bad state so I had it refurbished. Put the dynamo back and after a couple of days the "ign" indicator wouldn't turn off, but kept driving the mini anyway so eventually, the battery ran out of power again 2 weekends ago.

So I fully charge the battery and took the dynamo alone back to the electical mechanic who said that in his shop was working fine, so in his opnion the dynamo is ok, but still took the whole car to check it fully working. That was saturday, the mechanic found nothing wrong in the running car (the baterry was recieving charge from the electrical system) and the whole day the "ign" indacator didn't turn on

Unforunately, the "ign" indicator turned on just yesterday so I'm assuming the battery is not receiving charge again, but I dont know what else to check. (the battery is fully charged, the dynamo worked fine in the workshop and all sunday in the running car, and nothing seems to be wrong with the regulator)

Hope someone could give me some advice, thanx.

Nick

Check the wiring on the regulator box, especially under the plastic covers for the terminals.

If it's not connections in the regulator, I've found this useful in the past .....
