Hi and welcome
The car was built on the 14 th of December 1961 ,then shipped to t&m Dixon's Ltd of Redditch.which is about 15 miles from the longbridg factory.it then stood a . Round there untill it was sold in mid 62,
I found the car on the side of the road with a for sale sign in the window.a quick look look around .then I payed the asking price of £700 in 1984 that was a lot for a mk1 ,but it had only done around 29000 miles and one owner.it was also sold in the town I grow up in,only thing was the reg number had been removed.and replaced with a year relatedplate,I rebuilt it and ran it around going to shows in the mid 80s .then one day I parked it in the garage and left it in there for fourteen years.then the day came I opened the door.it was cover in dust.a wash and brush up and back on the road.I used it again utill the bottom hose went on the m40 ·So back into the garage for another year.this time it was the big one full ground up rebuild.shell was blasted new wings .inner and outter a panels.inner and outer sills.and a few other repair panels.all the running gear was powder coated.all new trim in side.a fresh coat of smoke blue.with old English white roof . Engine was rebuilt with a lead free head.I've added a few options of my own but within keeping with it age.just a few bits to get and it should be on the road as good as new.
