Re: 1965 drive around Dublin
Brilliant video Nev , looking forward to having more time to have a very close look at some of the minis both in traffic and parked , already noticed the two tone mini traveler ,on another note anyone have an idea where the factory records from Booth Poole / Brittains etc went to ? . most interesting would be to see paint variations on the Irish assembled cars , My 65 S is Smoke grey/ Damask red , also had an OEW/Surf blue 1966 998 MK 1 Cooper some years ago . interiors also were different , My S had ( most of it long since gone) a red/black trim combo with the black on the panels that would be normally 'brocade' on UK spec cars .

Super footage and takes me back to lots of familiar landmarks, not least, Nelson's Pillar. Very little traffic, limited parking restrictions, lots of buses and Gardai on traffic point duty.
Old records of car assembly are probably gone, Lincoln & Nolan (Austin) taken over by Brittain (Morris) which ulimately failed. Booth Poole - MG, Wolseley & Riley, long gone, but Alec Poole may have some recall.
Colour schemes and trim were different to UK. My 1963 997 Morris Cooper, which ended up at 1293cc, S discs etc. was smoke grey with blue roof, red/black seats, red carpets and door cards.
