C pillar trims

Just wondered if anyone can help with a question I have about the c pillar trims.
When I bought the car it had the drivers side trim missing and the one on the other side was in quite a grotty state, so I bought a pair that came up on ebay, in the same crackle cream, which look original and are in pretty good condition. Today I gave them a bit of a clean and just offered them up into position to see how they looked
The only problem is they are too narrow and don't reach from the rear window rubbers to the rubbers on the side windows. So my question is - did the c pillars change size at some stage which presumably means the rear window changed size 
. My car is a 63 Super Deluxe. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks Pete - thought that might be the case. I bought these as they were listed as Mk1's , he obviously didn't know or was telling a porky. Guess I'll have to look out for some real Mk1s.
