61 speedwell blue

Rescued this non its 51st birthday (Feb 6th 2012) from a b

us graveyard that was a wartime ammunition store.
Took me over a year to get the guy to arrange moving all the dead buses that were surrounding it since 1977.
first pics are how I got it ,A barred back with the Landrover in the Snow.

Wings were just fitted quickly before the Dip at surface processing , what you see is a bare metal shell .
Interesting how it lays bare all the repairs it ever had in its life, only two in this shell.

Not been on for a while , here's some pis of the Speedwell blue 61.
These pics taken a while ago so the car is 90% done.
Door fit is great , always a worry but old skool minis seem to have the knack .
Would highly recommend them.
Car is running an 850 with Downton H1 Su's and manifold , and a Slark modified
12g 295 head = great fun driving a fizzy engine again.
