lots of hours and many new/ refurbished mechanical parts but the cars being built as a "weekend warrior" and not to concours standard.

i already have

the car had totally had it ,,,,and i mean bad bad !!!!!!

apart from the roof and the boot lid which was weld repaired,,almost every panel is a "pattern panel". the body was rebuilt on a budget and "already in the loft" pattern panels were used in its 2nd lease of life.

the car was involved in a smash- front and rear at some point in its life, then re panelled and has been a nightmare to straighten out .

even the b pillars had rotted out,,,never seen this on a mk1 mini before!.the only genuine panels fitted

the car had has follows
2x front wings
front panel
2x inner and outer a panels
o/s inner wing
o/s bulkhead side
o/s toe board
n/s inner wing and rad cowl (second hand)
front subframe
both front floor pans
half a seat x member
both rear floor pans
repairs to the rear tubs
repairs to the rear seat pan
repairs to the subframe mounting areas
both inner sill box sections
both outer sills
both inner sills
boot floor
n/s rear arch tub
o/s rear arch tub repaired
rear valance
boot hinge repair panel with extension

and breathe...

2 door skins
2 upper door repair panels
2 lower door repair panels
2x door step
1x n/s rear quarter panel
o/s rear quarter repaired with a repair section
repair section under rear window

new roof skin

rebuilt mg 1100 engine on a 4 synchro austin 1300 gt box (3.6 diff) converted to magic wand

powder blue interior with silver brocade.as original with addition of .newton commercial "s" recliners

maniflow 3 branch on single box rc40
minifin drums,.uprated bushes, heavy duty tie bars
g max shockers, 997 cooper 5 digit speedo
boot fitted reversing light

refurbished rear suspension and braking system

the "s"rims are going to the blasters for powder coating so sits on minilites at present as an interim..

Really nice - I'd settle for that standard on my car!
How do you get on with the RC40 and manifold and the floor start button? Is there enough clearance? I remember having problems with the standard peashooter last time my '61 was on the road in the early 90's. The later ones didn't have a bend in them to avoid the starter terminals and it frequently shorted out..

The Supers are key started so no problems with RC40 clearing the solenoid. It is a pain with the floor start though. Very nice car.
