I've [fooloishly?) bought some windows seals for a Mk2 from Minisport a few years ago.... Was going to fit the windows yesterday, but ws abit supprised to see the shape of the seals.... They are just like a smaller version of the hollow section door seals that dont fit the Mk1/2 Should they be like this?

Like these:

I have not tried to fit the window yet, as the seals looked very big when i put them on the car.... are they supposed to be like this? (i.e hollow section type ?)

Just to avoid any confustion - this is for a Mk2 saloon!

thats a mk1 door seal

the mk2 window seal has the u shape which goes over the metal frame, then has a solid little 'flick' of rubber that juts out at an angle

It's actually slightly smaller than the door seal... or atleast smaller than the doorseal I had removed from a Mk1-2 recently;

Perhaps this would make a nice doorseal

Not quite... I see they have listed it as a Mk3+ windowseal... I thought Mk2 and Mk3 quarterlights were almost identical... whats the difference?

Recess in the sidepanel deeper on the Mk3 ? Or is the whole sidepanel thicker on a Mk3
