had one of them our old 62 smoke grey dad fitted it ,,,grandad chucked it out and made his own dash,,and lined the car full of ashtrays too

yes those were the days 
BIG ashtrays everywhere Imagine sitting in a MK I Mini, on a rainy day, and people smoking both in the front AND rear
Many new cars today, dont even have one small ashtray
