Midland Automobile Club are hosting their 'Nat B' classic hillclimb again this year on Sunday July 28th, usually a great entry list of classic and vintage cars.
http://www.shelsley-walsh.co.uk/events/ ... =21&ei=177
Special guest Stilring Moss ( I wonder if we can get him in a Minisprint ??) There's also a special Mini class in celebration of 50 years of the Cooper S plus and MCR day aswell with lots of cars on display. Great facilities, trade/jumble, nice caf !, bar, loads of camping space and it's a bootiful setting.
Maybe see some of you there.

You'd have to go on the MAC website David (linky above), I've a feeling I downloaded mine last time. They may well not be out yet though.

Any competitors with a minimum none race Nat B license can enter their car for the Mini class on Sunday 28th July online here :
http://www.shelsley-walsh.co.uk/even..._form_2013.asp
Please state the Mini Cooper Register (if you're a member) as the invited club (if not join MAC on the day) and Mini Class E1 for the class to enter. Entry fee is £115 and can be paid using Paypal. Camping available. Cars are limited to pre 1980 but I will confirm whether later Minis will be permitted (hopefully so) as soon as possible.
There will be a big MCR display area , Stirling Moss will be the guest of honour and I will also be inviting some special Mini personalities along, and a very special car or two. Watch this space !

Is a Nat A race licence any good?

I've arranged to reunite Jeff Goodliff with his hillclimb championship winning British Vita Minisprint at Shelsley Walsh on July 28th. Not seen in this country for many years I'm hoping the car can go up the hill aswell. There's going to be a celebration of the Cooper S as already mentioned with a special class for Minis in competition on the hill and a display of cars from the Mini Cooper Register amongst lots of other car clubs in attendance. Period 50's/60's dress actively encouraged !
Details on the Midlands Auto Club website :

Ahhh that's a funny co-incidence Pete - at the AutoSolo I went to a few weeks back - see
viewtopic.php?f=4&t=7392- the long term owner/racer of this Frogeye...
...spotted the 'Tuned by British Vita' sticker I have in the window of my Mk 1 and it prompted him to tell me that he used to see and compete against Jeff Goodliff and his very special Mini in your pic there - I wasn't particularly aware of the car before so it's nice to see a photo of it - does look like a pretty serious piece of kit!
I'm really hoping I can make Shelsley on the Sunday but I have a wedding down near Brighton on the Saturday night so it might be a bit of a mission to get back up there on Sunday morning! Fingers crossed I can sort out something as this sounds like an event not to miss (as it was last year).
Cheers,
Chris

Whizzo's also entered the hillclimb in 120 MNP, about ten in the Mini class now. It's fifty years since Whizz bought the car from just up the road which is nice. Lots of anniversaries about then with Cooper S 50 aswell, it's also 45 years since British Vita did the triple winning the ETCC, Northern Saloon Car Championship and the BARC Hillclimb Championship which is quite fitting.

Don't forget this event is on this Sunday ! Might be your only chance to see the BVRT Minisprint , let alone with Jeff Goodliff. I've asked them if he'll be allowed to poodle up the hill in it at the lunch break and... they said yes !
