I'm planning to take a my mini to a respray in the next couple of weeks. It is a 60 morris mini in cherry red, unfortunately, the boot and the bonnet are painted in a slightly diffrent shade of cherry red. Could anyone tell me what shade should I choose for an even respray, the boot and bonnet are kind of a little more pinkish than the rest, hope the photo helps.
thanx.

I don't think it is a case of "shade" of paint. Its just that one or possibly both are "off" a bit.
Cherry red is a very difficult colour to match as it fades so badly. The only way you will get the whole car to look the same shade is to paint the whole thing.
I must be honest & say that I agree with Jay's comment above.

I know its kind of difficult to tell the difference by the pic, but the boot and bonnet have a pinkish kind of a magenta feeling that the rest don't, and i don't know if that should be the case for the cherry red.
The doors also have the usual rusty spots, the body below both rear windows have a lot of rust and there are some dents here and there so I'm actually gonna respray the whole car along with the rust and dent repairs.
By the way Mark, that fuel cap is the one you included with the parts I bought in your latest clear out so thanx again.
