anyone know where you can buy a repair panel for the inside of the mk1 door? its the one at the inner side of the window channel. the one that runs along the inside paralell to the door skin. the latch part is bolted to the aft end of it. tried on bmh and m-machine with no luck.

I wish someone would press that inner door frame section.
I'd be able to save even more doors from the scrapheap.

ahhh. i take it its unobtainable???? that would explain the filler and holes then!

I did manage to let in a small repair on a previous door repair, but it was a fiddle to do.
The most awkward part is trying to emulate that "fluted" section of the panel.

BMH do make that panel, but it is not available separately. The door frame, excepting the window surround and channel support, comes as one piece.
I doubt it is in BMH's interest to sell the section we require, which is a pity.

yeah i guess so. its the fluted part and the flat part i need!
