reputable engine builder needed

Hi guys i need someone to rebuild my downton 1098 ideally someone with knowledge of downton ,i live in the farnborough area,dont really want any main stream agent rebuilding it ,any help would be appreciated cheers rob

i have 3 engines done by southam minis one 1293 and two 1071 in my oppinion they are spot on. all machining on site . most of the others sub out the machining , talk a good job and charge more .

Southam ! had quite a number built by them now, the last one been thrashed to france and back twice no probs :lol:

I would echo what has been said about Southam, but if you are REALLY determined to find someone who used to work at Downton then Byran Slark is a good bet too.

But as I say, my recommendation would be Southam.

...i would rec pat howe..black-mamba on this forum.. but then mr slark would rec him to..known quantities in the mini world that do a great job command huge respect.. i speak from experience.. no one better than pat..others as good i am sure......foxy52.
