Some years ago I imported a '77 mini. When I tried to remove the plates to put my mexican ones, I found out that they were sticked to the car with a kind of foamy adhesive tape which by the way happened to ge very strong and effective. Could anybody point me to the product (3M I guess) cause I've been looking for it here but had no luck. I leave som pics of the remaining.

Plates are SEF 468R in case anyone wonders were the car ended up. Thanx.

Thanx Tim but the red product is actually the common tape I can find here, not as strong as the one I'm looking for, probably is something more close to what mk1coopers points only it seems more yellow, luckily the amazon link suggests these:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/6mm-Sticky-Pads ... sim_auto_6

They are black instead of white but seem as foamy and thick as the white ones.

Sorry guys I just though it was the common product to fix plates in UK, but it someone still reckon them I'll appreciate the help.

They are common over here, you used to be able to buy the white ones in packs of 3 from Halfords, the last time I looked they had changed to black

Will these be better
