You'll have to change the park position contacts on the gear wheel 180 degs.

Smokey;

Was is easy to fit the round-body wiper motor into the Mk1?
I'm thinking about doing this myself and was sondering if there's anything particular that needs extra attention?

Did you use the original Mk1 wire, tubes and wheel-boxes?

Basically the crank pin on the big gear needs to be moved 180 degrees (or it might be 182, can't quite remember). It has the ramp on the back of the gear that activates the park switch. Probably the easiest way would be to get a gear from a LHD Car ;) I would think Mini Spares or Somerfords would have them, but I also suspect that they ain't cheap.

Is there a LHD drive wheel?
I though they mounted the motor on the opposite end of the bulkhead hence which would flip it over and hence 'reverse' the park position.

The last one I did it was a simple case of removing the wheel and swaping the "bump" that triggers the micro switch over to the other side. The bump is removable, it has a pin on the back that pushes into the wheel. There should be a hole for this on the other side. The wiper motor was out of a early 90s Rover Mini.
You will also have to change the wiring and you have the choice of using a change over relay and std Mk 1 mini headlight switch or use a 2 speed wiper switch out of a MGB. (looks the same as a mini headlight switch but switches differently inside)
