57000 miles, one owner (that is if you don't count the thousand rats that have lived in it). Sold new 5th Dec 1963. I picked it up at the weekend and it is probably not quite as good as it could be, the rats have made quite a mess of the interior and left tons of droppings and pee'd everywhere, though they haven't done much nibbling. They got into it by gnawing through the gearshift grommet. I've now stripped the carpets and seats out of it and will try to get rid of the smell. Oh, there is a nest behind the fuel tank too so the tank will need to come out. Everything is there, owners book, tools and tool bag.

You do seem to dig them up Al!
Lovely looking car, shame about the rat infestation, and the starlings!
Is that Surf Blue? Interesting colour combo with the red seats.
What colour is the speedo face?
I think you should keep it as a spare 'shell for the race car.

Hi James,
The colour appears to be the NZ equivalent to Surf Blue and the speedo face is silver. I washed out the inside last night (yuk job) and removed the fuel tank to clear a rat's nest behind it. Rat pee has rusted through the rear panel below the left taillight, shame ! I was surprised the fuel tank strap bolts and tank drain pipe undid without problem. The body will make a nice spare for the race car, should I ever need it.

There is just a little rust. Rat pee behind the fuel tank has rusted the rear panel below the tail light (not badly), lower A panel on the left side and a few bubbles at the top of the front wings, by the scuttle panel. Ther are a couple of bubbles midway on both door seams too. All would be simple enough to fix.
