I have a 92 model that I am thinking about converting into a racer...
The has ofcourse a rubbermounted front subframe.

I was wondering if anyone had any input to iffer as to how best prepare/ fasten the front sub on a race car...
Whats the preferred way to fasten the front sub on modern racers (Sevens, Miglias) etc. Do they even use these type of front subs or do they "convert" to the fixed type? I plan on replacing the front-end with fiberglass/carbon.

Advice on how to stregthen the front sub location points would also be nice.

Many thanks.

I fixed my subframe with solid mountrings made from nylon(own fabrication) and solid mounting to the floor. I use my mini for slalom and it works very well. Shell I have is from 82.

Greetings Roald.

Solid subframe mounting kits are available from all major suppliers.

Yes, solid mountings all round - even on a road car it is amazing this difference makes to how "direct" the front end feels!
