Looks like a perfectly genuine little Mini. As has already been said, it will no doubt go astronomical before the auction end.

Judging by the paperwork he has taken pictures of it looks to me like he was planning on restoring it himself & have for some reason decided to move it on without.

M.

From what I heard he bought it years ago just for the reg and just stashed the car. Now the cars worth a lot more than the reg it's for sale.. Can't blame him really, would be nice to sell it with the reg instead of separately but that's just my opinion, it nice to keep it for it's history. It was on the other week or so and sold? Perhaps the buyer dicked him about.. Either way, it's very nice and I wish I had lost of spare wonga to buy it..

Amazing how they keep coming isn't it and values it seems have risen greatly recently.
Everyone seems to want an early car now and I can see the appeal.
I think describing it as a 1959/1960 car is stretching it a little if it was registered in April 1960 though!

Looks like the seller is planning on parting some of the really good stuff from it before the end of the auction. Interesting sales idea!

Quote:

"LOADS OF SPARES TO BE SOLD SEPARATLY, ASWELL AS A MINT CONDITION GLASS WASHER BOTTLE (VALUED AT £400)!!!! NOT INCLUDED IN AUCTION UNLESS RIGHT PRICE OFFERED".

What a prat!

Looks like an honest car though.

Those bonnet wing gaps are razor sharp, not been messed with.

Weird looking gear shift extension on it

I agree with Mark, the cost of the car should include the whole package as for that price I would expect to recieve a 60 period mini by all means, not only a part of it and then having to search the rare parts that were part of the car in the firts place.

I think he's trying to corner the market in early Minis! He also has the "oldest" Mini Van for sale doesn't he? as well as many other interesting cars.

I think that '59 was for sale on ebay a few months ago. Is it the lighting or does the colour look a bit bright?

That has been advertised on the 1959 Register web site for the last 12 months at £9000. This guy had it up for £19k at first. Dropped it to a 'bargain' £15k now. Wow. He seems to be buying up cars like there is no tomorrow and not just minis. He had a stand at the NEC but I didn't see and sold signs on any cars. Can't say I am surprised though.
