Hi

Just spotted this one for sale here in Denmark

http://www.dba.dk/morris-mascot-mini-1000/id-68333635/

I think its looks pretty good except the arches and the wheels.

Are there anyone who has seen such a conversion before ?

Best Regards Kristian

Had a good look round on google for a Morris Mascot from Denmark that had an MG front end like this, but got nowhere.

However, found a multipage pdf on the engineering firm that used to produce brit cars in Denmark, including the danish version of the Mini known as the Mascot. They used to be involved in other car companies as well. Excellent pictures in it, and a truely excellent article. In english language, which helps, us.

This is it,

The conversion makes the front end look very heavy if you ask me

There is the MG Gnat, but that was a one-off brit creation, nothing like the above,

It might not be the prettiest Mini every built, but it looks better than the Ford...I mean Clubman.

Hi

All Morris Minis are called Morris Mascot in Denmark. The Austins were called Austin Partner until Austin closed in 72 and DOMI (Danish overseas motor industri) took over all Mini import and alot of other british cars.

I went to see the car today. Good straight bodywork and a very smooth running engine, but terrible brake and clutch adjustment. I might give him a offer, as i like the conversion.
