Does anyone know when the bumpers with override bars started? What did the first deluxe minis come with?... bumpers with no overriders and no bumperettes, or bumpers no overrides but with the bumperettes? Are there any good Mk1 repros available for purchase? Thanks!

1959 Basic had no over riders, De-Luxe had over riders (but some De-Luxe cars were not fitted with them)

September 1961 Cooper introduced with over riders and corner bars same with the Super.

October 1962 Super Deluxe introduced replacing the De-Luxe and Super with over riders and corner bars.

Sadly no good new reproduction bumpers or over riders only stainless steel ones.

interesting, thanks for the info. Do you know if the bumperettes are available without the holes drilled for the bars?, and are they the same size/shape as those with the holes drilled?

You can get them with and without the corner bar holes.
