I'm completely stunned to hear this. Paul was over here for Beaulieu and Stanford Hall and spent some time talking to us and to Bart. He said that he was hoping to buy a restaurant in London to add to the one he already has in Italy. I have known him for probably 20 years when he first visited my shop.
Sincere condolences to his wife and young son.
An incredibly sad thing to have happened.
I'm trying to translate all the Facebook messages which are in Italian.

Had a call from a friend early this afternoon with the shocking news. I've known Paul for many years and he will be sadly missed, he was always down to earth with a great sense of humor.

Very sad, I never met Paul, but he was kind enough to help me organise parts and ship to Aus. A real gentleman.
Condolences to his family, a loss to our community.

Can't believe it was a truth. Was chatting to him the other day on Facebook!
It was such a great time to meet Paul last year when he visiting, and talked Minis.
He was cheerful and knowledgable in Minis.
Will miss him much!
Take care Verbena and Sean.

What a shock. How cruel life can be sometimes when you lose a real gent like Paul at such a young age, very sad news. I'll miss our little chats and his cheeky sense of humour as I'm sure his many friends will all over the world. A very sad day.

Well, from posts here it is clear that many had the privilege of dealing with Paul and that he was universally considered a top bloke. I never met him but can only echo what other have said from my dealings with him via email. My car is running a set of porcelain green rear bin liners that Paul gave me for free. All I had to do was pay for shipping to South Africa. I will think of him every time I look at them. Sincere condolences to his family.

I'm stuck for words. Life is not fair, he was taken far to young. He was a great character and a very genuine man that is very hard to find in people today. He will be a massive loss to the mini community. My condolence to all his family and friends. Like many on here I had the pleasure to a good chat with Paul in bulee. It just shows us we should live every day like it's your last. Rest in Peace Paul
