Magic Rod Aftermarket shifter.

I have had this for ages, bits of it here bits of it there, I pulled it off of a mk1 wagon back in the 90's. I have at this point lost the little fiberglass bucket that screwed over the magic wand shifter hole to cover the linkage but I am not so worried as it wasn't a functional part of it.

My Question, Who Made it? And what was the product? Well other then a shift kit for a magic wand transmission that is :)

thats neat as it doesnt need two holes hacking in the floor like the spqr one does - yours looks as if it would go underneath and come through the 'normal' remote hole

Yes it fit right up where the remote shifter would go, it does require 4 holes drilled for the guide mount to bolt on. The biggest snafu I have seen probably is the front bit sticks up through the magic wand hole. Not far, maybe an inch.

I don't know, I tried to get it to work years ago but couldn't make it shift cleanly.. Granted that was then, I could probably make it work now, but I don't have any car to use it in currently unless I cut the floor for remote shifters! I thought it was neat though, that's why I held on to it.
