Hi Friends,
I work for Seven Enterprises in the USA. We are building a stock 1275 Cooper S power unit for the one and only Gyro X that is being restored at the Lane Motor Museum. This car was on the cover of Popular Mechanics in 1967.
The car, well it has only two wheels so is it a car? has the Cooper S motor in the back and a Gyro in the front. This allows the car to sit on two wheels when standing still. The chassis is of a tube frame construction. From what the guys at Lane say, the car is very complicated and unfortunately no one is alive that worked on the car.
I was wondering if any of our UK Mini friends have any information on this car. We do have pictures and are grateful for that but any help would be appreciated .
I will get some pictures for you all to look at soon.
Thanks,
Mike

I read that the company that produced the following has ties to the Gyro-X:

That's so cleaver when you see the Gyro X just standing there on two wheels unsupported and the bloke is trying really hard to kick it over and it doesn't fall, you can imagine how safe it would be to drive on the roads, it's got a sci-fi futuristic look about it and with the right styling/design would look great!!!
