i,ve a 68 super deluxe, i,ve just turned 60 and after driving for more than 20 miles or so, my back starts to hurt.
looking around at what,s available, cobra seats look good. they,re in my price range but more importantly you can get them in red.
has anyone got any views?

I would look on eBay etc and get ripped off for some incredibly rare mini cooper s ex-works microcell recliners.
Or,alternatively get some mega cheap ones out of a scrapped scimitar or sunbeam alpine.
Weld on some cobra subframes and Bob's your Aunties' live-in lover.

If you not bothered about keeping it original, Mazda MX5 seats fit a treat. There actually slightly narrower and very comfy.

I have a brand new Cobra Clubman seat for sale, still in it's wrapping & box. it's black with red seat insert, I got a deal on 2 seats, but only wanted one, so I'm looking for around £90. There is no subframe with it, but these are available at reasonable cost from most Mini parts suppliers. I was going to put it on ebay, but I'm trying to resolve shipping costs, Parcel2go are quoting me £60. (Located just south of Kidderminster, Worcestershire)

Later type mini seats are nice to sit in
and they recline
but I found MG ZR seats to be best proper hug you and have really good lumber surport
they fit fine if you don't have your seat all the way back though they kit the rear bin :/

On a serious note Gareth on this forum does several different seats including Microcells and Restalls and having seen some first hand at Stanford Hall I was very impressed. He goes under the name Contour51 on here. Worth dropping him a line. Reasonably priced too.
