Fitting Dash Cards

Before I go and bend my new dash cards trying to fit them I thought I'd ask if anyone has any particularly good tips for fitting them neatly without bending them?

Also, does anyone know if the Newton Commercial ones need cutting down?

I have never managed to fit a set of Newton ones without trimming a bit off them. Personally I reckon that all Newton trim is just a little bit big.

I'm glad it's not just me. I've had to trim something off all of the newton trim I've used.

It certainly did, but I used an original set of cards in that, as personally speaking, I'm not keen on the super new look of Newton trim.

I have some faded door and rear quarter cards in tartan red that came with some seats i bought, apart from the fading they are really good condition, is there anything i can do to bring them back to life or will i have to go the newton route?

You do see various vinyl renovation products in Classic Car magazines and the like. I've never tried them though. A lot of write ups reckon you can get some good results.
I had to go Newton as I didn't have the trim!

You can restore vinyl, I have not used the proprietry stuff myself, but a quick wipe over with cellulose thinners does bring the colour back.

BUT CHECK FIRST!

I've used Vinylkote spray before to change grey panels into black ones, it worked well for me, I'm sure there was a company that offered a matching service to :)
