Rubber overiders?

I cannot read japanesse but, did early minis were fitted with rubber overiders? Never saw one.

If you use Google Chrome you can read Japanese (sort of).
1959 mini bumper rubber overiders NOS BMC
very early in the mini, the rider was not over.
I think those are available as dealer options at the time.
Will be made ​​of reinforced rubber over-riders. Will not see many rare items.

Post Office vans had black rubber rear bumpers. Perhaps those rubber overiders were supplied as a special order for commercials.

It clearly states that the rider was not over. How can they be overriders then? :)

Because these are aftermarket riders which are over, unlike the early factory riders which were not over.

They are just one of the many weird and wonderful aftermarket accessories that were available for Minis in the early days.
